Reduce Iodine, Control Acne

Recent studies have shown that limiting your iodine intake can help control acne. So what does milk have to do with this? Apparently, milk is high in iodine. So, for all of you milk-lovers who struggle to control acne, your milk intake may be the problem.

With this stated, it would seem that a solution to control acne would be to eliminate milk altogether- fortunately, this is not the case. There are other foods you may need to cut down on to lower your iodine intake and, thus, control acne.
There are plenty of foods that we consume daily that are high in iodine. Iodized salt, egg yolks, dried fruits, chocolates, canned vegetables, fresh chicken in broth, and sea foods are all high in iodine. In order to help control acne, you must not consume excess amounts of any of these products.

Completely eliminating iodine from the diet can cause serious health problems. The best approach to take is to minimize and limit the amount of iodine you consume in order to help control acne.
